First Jump Course

If you want to get into skydiving or you just want to make your first jump, this course may be for you.

How It Works

The type of training is Static Line. You’ll show up at 8am on a Saturday for class. The class is typically 4 hours. Then you go up for a jump! Your parachute will be deployed via a tether (static line) that is connected inside the plane. You’ll climb out at 3,500ft and LET GO. You put your body into a stable position, the chute deploys, and you’re under canopy. Initially, you’ll be guided to your landing via 1-way radio by a staff member on the ground.

Here are some of the things you’ll learn:

  • poised exit from the aircraft — this helps you be stable and in control for deployment
  • emergency procedures — safety first!
  • canopy control — flying the wing that you’re a part of
  • how to land safely — where to land, how to get there, and when to flare

Cost for the course, including the first jump and equipment rental is $200. It’s about $78 per jump after that while you’re a student.

Contact us to register. A $50 deposit will be required to register for the class. It will be applied towards the $200.
