Tandem skydiving

Tandem skydiving‘ or ‘tandem parachuting’ refers to a type of skydiving where a student skydiver is connected to a harness attached to a tandem instructor.

You can make a tandem jump for fun, but if you choose to become a licensed skydiver, it will also count as the start of your training. If you are interested in becoming licensed, click here for more info on our offering.

Our tandem instructor is USPA certified.

There are some restrictions that you should be aware of:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not exceed 225 pounds due to equipment limits
  • Must be in good health

How it works

  • Schedule the jump
  • Pay the deposit. (Use the Pay menu option at the top of this web page.)
  • Show up at the dropzone (more info below) with appropriate attire for the weather — it might be colder at 10,000 feet
    • Wear tennis shoes — no boots, sandals, flip flops
    • Student jumpers are not allowed to wear a camera (unless you have your license, you are a student jumper)
  • The instructor will train you and answer any questions or concerns you may have
    • Training takes about 30 minutes
  • Friends and family are welcome to come watch
  • Allow a couple hours for the whole experience
  • If for some reason, such as weather, the jump cannot be made on the scheduled day, a reschedule will be done. Weather events such as high winds, rain, and mostly cloudy skies are known as “weather holds” in skydiving and will prevent skydives until they clear.

Price

  • $250 per jump
  • $50 non-refundable deposit is required
    • Deposit is applied towards the $250 total
  • Video is available for an additional $50
  • Payment options

Location

The dropzone you will go to is in Lincoln, IL at the Logan County Airport.
If you don’t see some folks with parachutes hanging out, go to the 2nd floor of this building. The door is on the left side in this picture. The parking lot is behind the building in this picture. You’ll see the parking lot on your left when you enter the airport.
